We make collective craft pieces with a message
July 2024 – Living wonders
From 20 July 2024, we’ll be crafting plants and animals to create an interactive artwork to support stronger nature laws, check out the instagram or reach out for details.
September 2023 – Stop seismic blasting, keep gas in the ground
In September, J+M was at the UNSW Diversity fest, making corals for a collective banner which has now been gifted to Rising Tide for use in their direct actions.

July 2023 – Rights for nature
In July Eav had the pleasure of facilitating a workshop for young people (aged 12-22) at St Peters Library, making patches of the many non-humans who have a right to their own futures.

April-June 2023 – Guerilla protest art, end land clearing
For April we switched it up, building on Eav’s textile art practice we’ll collectively make one work to be installed around the City. The goal is to remind the people around the city of the impact of land clearing on the animals and plants they see (and the one’s they don’t). Come along to help stitch up a collective piece designed and planned by Eav to craft a sneeky, distanced act of protest.

March 2023 – What’s worth fighting for
In March 2023 we’ll be learning the basics of embroidery and making from ‘deadstock’ or fabrics from the textile industry that would otherwise go to landfill. These are skills of protest, but can also be used to mend your clothes!
We’ll make designs that show images of what in the world is worth fighting for (family or friends, the bush, plants or animals) with the words “no more coal, oil or gas”. We’ll send the finished works to politicians who need a reminder of what matters.
